The weekend.

My hubby came for a visit this weekend. With me being due at the time in  4.5 weeks we decided it would be smart if I came up to Canada early in case baby decided to come early. Matt doesn't graduate until April 11, which meant we would be apart for 3 weeks. 3 very long weeks. I bawled when he dropped me off in Helena MT where we met my dad as a halfway point. The moment he left I started planning a weekend trip to Helena for the both of us. But he one uped my idea when he decided to just come all the way to Canada the next weekend. He missed his girls to much I guess!
It was so fun to have him here this weekend, but just made me sad all over again when I had to say goodbye to him once more. Good news is it's only 2 weeks away instead of 3 now. Matt brought a friend up so we had to give him a good Canadian experience so we went curling, which was actually really fun. It was a little uncomfortable to do pregnant and after throwing the "rock" I'd usually just sprawl out on the ice cause it was hard to stay balanced or get up fast enough before I fell over. But it is definitely something I would do again. It's actually a lot harder then it looks! After that we went and got a Canadian delicacy- poutine, which for anyone who has never heard of it, it is fries with cheese curds and a special gravy on top. Sounds disgusting and 100% unhealthy, but it really is yummy. Matt was a skeptic all last summer and was actually mad at us for never making him try it before because it was delicious! Other then that we just played games with the family which is always fun.

Goodbye Rexburg

Rexburg Idaho has been really good to me over the last what feels like 20 years. I've made lots of friends, had some interesting experiences with room mates, ate a lot of g's dairy ice cream, graduated from BYU-I, and most importantly found my true love. Well, I have officially left that place for good, since I graduated last semester and Matt will do so this year we have no reason to go back and live there. I thought I would love this day, but I ended up being really sad. These last two semesters with Matt have been some of the best! We have become really good friends with a lot of awesome couples. It's hard to imagine that we will likely not hang out with them again. Maybe our kids will hang out with their kids in college and they'll have fun together like we did. That's a happy thought.

I wish that I had gotten more pictures of everyone we spent time with and the things we did cause now they are all just memories with no proof that we actually ever did anything! Some of my favorite things were dinner and game nights. We'd all bring something to contribute to the dinner and then play games like catch phrase, cranium, apples to apples, charades and various other things. These games could get pretty intense as we usually played girls against boys and depending on who you ask will determine who won most often. We also had a lot of milkshake and movie nights. Almost every weekend we would make oreo peanut butter milkshakes and watch movies with another couple or two. Sometimes popcorn was also involved. Then there were the occasions were we'd go do things on campus like rollar skating, bowling, or comedy shows that had some really TERRIBLE acts and some really funny ones. Yup there were definitely some good times that I am going to miss. But the good news is, there are fun couples everywhere and we'll just make new friends and have more awesome experiences.
Roller Skating and Ice Cream. I know roller skating was probably not the smartest idea for a 8+ month along pregnant woman but I couldn't pass it up! And the good news is I only fell once, and it was Matt's fault. I started rubbing my belly and singing "I don't think you're ready for this jelly" and Matt was apparently not ready, because he lost his footing and went down hard. Since we had been holding hands by the time we let go I was a little off balance and fell as well. But my hands hit the ground before the belly did so it wasn't bad at all. I think little baby had a great time all in all as she was moving around the whole time.
I had to get Red Robin Fries one last time before we left. Pretty sure they hated us since we got there 15 minutes before closing. But lucky for them all we wanted was bottomless fries. Oh it was so good. My mouth is watering just thinking about their fries.

Maternity shoot

One of my best friends in Rexburg took some maternity photos for me. While Matt looks pleased to be in the pictures he kept asking me beforehand why he had to come and be in them and why couldn't he just play with Cindy's husband while she took them of me. Typical boy. I think in the end though he was grateful to be a part of them. I love how they turned out and wish I had got more in the end! Also, surprisingly you can't tell in the pictures, but the park we went to was actually quite ugly at this time of year cause nothing was growing on the trees and the water had tons of dead fish floating in it and it was cloudy ad kind of windy. But Cindy did a great job or working with what she had and made an ugly park look beautiful.

Mid trimester update

Wow. Time is kind of going fast. I can't believe I have just a little over 7 weeks left. I remember telling my parents we were having a baby when I was 8 weeks along. That seems like forever ago and at that time April 25 couldn't come fast enough. Now it's almost here!

Joys of weeks 28-32
Energy: dropped the moment I hit the 3rd trimester. This baby knows the routine. Drain you the first trimester, make you feel normal the second, and then drain you again in the third trimester. Luckily I don't have anything to do so 2-3 hour naps have become part of my routine again, especially at 10 in the morning.
Sleep: hit and miss. Some nights I sleep like a baby and other times I can't fall asleep forever or I wake up to go to the bathroom and can't fall back asleep for an hour or so. But so far baby doesn't keep me up with her movements. I kind of hope that she has her schedule right. Awake (as much as a baby can be) during the day and sleepy at night. Fingers crossed!
Movement: This little baby is out of control! Sometimes I feel like she is having seizures or something in there cause it feels like she is twitching out in there. She has really start to kick harder, like it actually hurts sometimes. She also presses harder and longer against my skin so I can feel her little feet or elbow thru my skin. I love it. And her full body rolls. Pretty much everything she does is cute.
Baby items: A jogging stroller, car seat, pack and play, homeade baby blanket, crocheted hat, clothes from Aunt Melissa/crystal and Nana, and prepaid Visa card from grandma termeer (she knows what girls like).
Aches and pains: Nothing to bad so far. A few nights of back and hip pain, plus daily right rib cage pain. Little baby can't seem to keep her feet out of there. Gladly I haven't felt her kicking against them yet, they just hurt. Headaches have returned every once in awhile as well.
Weight gain: About 24 pounds.
Cravings: Still no major cravings, but there are 2 things I love to have everyday. Oatmeal and peanut butter. I hardly ever ate oatmeal before but now I want it every morning and sometimes as a snack. I have also ate so much peanut butter in the last couple of weeks. I finished a 16 oz jar of peanut butter in about 2 weeks and am currently working on this baby.

I have finished almost half of this jar in 3 weeks. I am an addict.

I had to get another ultrasound as at my 19 week one they felt that she was a little on the small side and I had a low lying placenta, which could be a problem when it came to delivering if it stayed so low. I certainly wasn't going to complain about another chance to see my sweet baby on the big screen again. The good news is she is doing good, even better then good! She is weighing in at 4 lbs 4 oz and according to the due date I was given I am 32 weeks and 4 days along but according to her development I am 33 weeks and 4 days. So looks like there is a chance she could be coming earlier then we expected which I have zero problem with!

Here is her little profile with her arm up by her face. According to Matt she already has his nose...

And my long toes! Her foot looks huge to me. But I can't wait till they are no longer poking into my rib   cage and I can tickle them.

And these are a few of the items I have made for her. I can't wait to wrap her up in the blankets and to see her cute face in the beanie. I have loved making things for her and think  it will be so rewarding to see her in them.
