I didn't tell Matt in a super fancy way or anything. I took the test first thing in the morning and matt was laying in bed with Sienna. I got the idea to make him pancakes, spelling out Baby #2. Matt has a pretty normal morning routine shower>breakfast>dishes>work. So I go into the bedroom and tell him I was going to make pancakes and he could jump in the shower. And he replies, "Oh I don't think I am going to shower right now, I will come help you make pancakes." He was ruining my plan. I finally convinced him that I wanted to make him breakfast and to go shower. I will never forget Matt's face and response to seeing the pancakes. He turned to me with a big smile and tears in his eyes and said "Really? You're pregnant?" Oh it was magical.
Matt's mom came for a month and arrived on Sienna's birthday. We waited till she came so we could tell her and my parents together. We got a dq cake for "Siennas" birthday, but really we had them write our pregnancy announcement on it. Sienna was both sets of grandparents 9th grandchild and this one will be both grandparents 12th
So far this pregnancy has been much the same as with Sienna.
First symptoms: Heat flashes. My body was a furnace. Matt had to ask me to not touch him when we were sleeping cause I was too hot. Out of breath within like 2 minutes of exercising. HUNGRY. I hate waking up at four in the morning starving. Matt hates it cause I get crumbs in the bed. And bloating.
Additional symptoms: moody and sensitive. WAY more this time then with Sienna. Matt teases me about something stupid and I am sending daggers thru him with my eyes. In my head I know I am being irrational, but it feels so right.
1st cravings: Came at about 6 weeks. Potato chips. Followed by pickles.
Aversions: A classic salad. Romaine lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers. I can eat all those things separatly, there is just something about them combined that makes me queasy. Weird right? And Gum. I can't stand chewing it for longer then 10 minutes.
Due Date: November 14.

12 weeks.
We went in for a Dr. appt when I was 12.5 weeks to hear the heartbeat but it couldn't be found. The Dr. wasn't really too worried and told us we could either go get an ultrasound to be sure or come back in 2 weeks and try again. Well, I know I wouldn't stop worrying so we went for an ultrasound. We found out that little baby is doing great so far! The heartbeat was 161 and all the organs looked normal so far. Our tech was AWESOME. The clinic we go to doesn't print out the ultrasound pictures anymore, but puts them on a flash drive you can buy. Our tech told us that if we wanted to save money, when we got our 20 week ultrasound we could get both pictures on one drive. Then she was nice enough to let us take a picture of the screen just so we had something.
You don't even have to look that closely to see that in this picture our baby literally looks like a caveman. At least that's what I think. So if this is any indicator of future looks, I hope it's a boy. :)
