Better out than in.

9 months. That's how long I carried David in my tummy and now that is how long I have carried him in my arms. While I totally miss my little cuddly sleepy newborn I am LOVING how interactive he is getting with all of us, especially Sienna. I love it because Sienna doesn't want my attention all the time. She is actually pretty satisfied with Davids and he loves it too. My favorite is being in a different room then them and just hearing the giggles and sneaking a peak to see what they are up too.

At 9 months David is:
- Pulling himself up on everything and figuring out how to walk along it
- Has climbed up 2 stairs. Maybe could've done more, but this mama was a little worried as he kept stopping to sit on each step almost causing him to topple backwards.
- Loves stuffed animals as much as his big sister. He just flops into them and rubs his face all over them
- Eating really well. We have branched into some "harder" foods to eat. Toast, pancakes, oatmeal. He eats pretty much all of them with bananas, raspberries and PB.
- Pretty sure he is allergic to eggs. I tried making home made yogurt bites and they called for egg whites. He ate some of them and then projectile vomited twice. So we won't be trying eggs with him for a long while.
- speaking of food. He is a obsessed with the fridge
- Loves to play shy. I love it too cause he just nestles into my shoulder.
- Big fan of the swings
- love putting rocks and grass in your mouth. Which makes it a little difficult to go outside or enjoy the park.
- if you open a door leading outside that boy cruises to get there before you close it.
- He sits on his bum, twirls himself in a circle with his feet, while clapping his hands. That's talent my friends.
-can say mama and says it mostly when he wants food, or wants to get out of bed. He knows who to call for.
- weight: 18 lbs height: 27 inches

One of the games he plays with is. Just peeks his little eye thru the slot. We think its so funny.

He loves ice cream.

Best invention ever. I dreaded shopping at the mall with them but they were as happy as could be in there! David loved playing with the steering wheel.

He is almost always happy!

More often then not if I check on him, his arm is in that position. Don't know why and has to be so uncomfortable.

Snap chat gets me so good.

Case and point. Although this is a stick, which I feel a little better about.

Another game. He first did this with sienna when she would go open his door after a nap. I would just hear them giggling in there and when I looked to see what was funny his face was pressed up like this and she was poking him. Now he always does it.

happy 9 months cutest boy.

Bertha falls.

I love living so close to a national park. We love spending time outdoors and Matt and I especially love hiking and wish we could do more of it. But we enjoy doing what we can with our kids and family members. We hiked Bertha Falls while Grandma Termeer and my nephew Clayton were here. It was a lot of fun! Definitely worth the struggle of getting kids of the mountain. Thank goodness for the many hands that were able to help them!

8 months

This month was big for our baby boy.
-got his two bottom teeth. He did a great job. Just a little fussy.
- started to crawl! He mostly does one knee on the floor and the other on his foot but he gets around. I love but dislike him being so mobile!
- sometimes he is an extra awesome boy and sleeps in till 8.
- he loves food. The first night he tried lasgana he ate one whole piece himself blended up. He loves spaghetti and grandmas chicken and rice soup too.
- he does really well with finger foods. He can pick up puffs really well with his thumb and index, but slippery foods like avocados and raspberries are better for mom to give to him.
- went on his first hike and did really well! Just was so tired and hungry by the end.
-loves to play with his big sister. She will get onto her bed and say "brother, come get me!" Then you just hear the thumping of David racing down the hall to come and find her. It's so cute.
- Sienna has never called him David. She will always call him brother!
- He is also doing a great job at being the annoying younger brother all ready. Sienna hates for him to touch her stuff or her. I know he doesn't do it on purpose (at least I think) but the smile on his face as he reaches out to touch her stuff and she is freaking out is priceless.
-His hair is getting blonder. I think a little strawberry blonde as when the sun hits it, it has an orange tinge to it. It is also getting some curl!

Sienna was sleeping so he got his favorite stuffy.

Cheering me and matt on at summer games. We had the best cheer leaders!

Way to cute in grandmas hat!

Eating watermelon

Nothing beats beazer peas.

Playing on the trampoline

Such a happy smiley boy! If you look real close you can see his little teeth!

First time out at Beazer creek. He hates cold water.

Hiking bears hump!

Squishy little face

7 months

7 MONTHS

How time flies when you are having fun. We have definitely had more fun since David came into our lives. He is such a sweet little baby. Always has a smile for people and loves attention. Scenario: I am making dinner and he is in his exersaucer. He will start to whine, so I look at him and smile and talk a bit and he giggles and is happy. I look away, tears. Look back, smile. I don't even have to do much at this point, just be looking at him and he is happy.
The other day we picked up grandma from the airport. An hour and a half into our trip I hear a little baby laugh. I look back and Sienna is pointing at him and he is dying laughing. Then he would start shaking his head, so she would, which put him in more fits of laughter. It was so tender, especially because Sienna really doesn't play with him. So to see this brought tears to my eyes. He never laughs that easily at the things I do! I hope their relationship continues to grow.

At 7 months...not much has seemed to change
  • You sit up really well, and sometimes try to launch yourself forward to get something, which ends with you landing face first into the carpet...
  • Want to move so bad. You swivel around in a circle really well. You either extend your arms all the way or lift your butt up into the air, you just can't seem to do them both at once.
  • LOVE LOVE LOVE fruit pouches and smoothies. I love them cause you eat vegetables and you have gotten really good at feeding yourself them.
  • You love your mesh pouch that I put fruit in and you can suck on the fruit without choking. I hate cleaning it.
  • You like going for walks in the wagon.
  • Love Sienna's stuffed tiger. Sadly it's a prized possession of hers and unless she is otherwise occupied you can't have it.
  • Not a fan of chunky food. You just shift it around with your tongue practically gagging the whole time. Even puffs, that practically melt in your mouth you take issue with.
  • You can clap your hands! Such coordination you have already.
  • You are such an easy going baby. You smile so easily and have the cutest laugh (Shriek)

Playing at the park
Wagon rides
This happens more times then I want...
sleeping babies are the best ever!
Not the biggest fan of swimming yet. It's too cold. So we hot tub it up
