Jack-o-lanterns

Yay for halloween and pumpkin carving. I don't think I've carved a pumpkin in easily 5-6 years. So I'm not going to lie, I was very rusty and my pumpkin certainly showed that. It had about 4 different faces. It started off with a witch on a broomstick. But then I poked out a part of it that wasn't suppose to come out. So I switched to the other side and tried my hand at a spider. It was going real well till it met the same fate that my witch did. By then I didn't really care what happened to my pumpkin so I let Travis Prete's nephews draw all over it and then carved out their drawings and their cute little hand prints. It was reallly fun though. I liked the uniqueness of my pumpkin and all it's flaws. Travis and Megans turned out really well though. Travis's was some extreme carving. So extreme that even though he followed all the lines it's a little difficult to tell what it is.

Pumpkin carving frustrates me, thus, I can't remember the last time I did it. I'm such a Scrooge when it comes to Halloween!
