HEAVEN

Words cannot describe the feelings I get inside when I open the freezer door and see this glorious sight.

No worries, this is only one freezer. The other 2 have some stashed away as well. It's our food storage of ice cream.

Seriously?

This is how I feel when I walk down the stairs and see white stuff covering the beauitful green grass that usually greets me early in the morning..

I am so not impressed with this weather right now. You just aren't suppose to see this sight at the end of May. It makes me depressed and want to move to the bahamas

I see London I see france...

The people at the temple saw my underpants! EEK.
I always knew one day this would happen to me, but at the temple, REALLY??
I had just finished baptisms and told nelson I'd wait for him in the Library. So I walk from the font to the library, past people sitting in chairs waiting to be confirmed and of course the front desk where not only one worker was sitting but a few others standing around talking. So I get into the library and a lady temple worker comes rushing down the hall and calls me over, that's when I feel that unnatural breeze on my upper thigh and one of my worst nightmares became a reality. As I tug the back of my dresses out of my underwear the nice lady informs me it's tucked in.
Oh well, it could've be worse, I could've had devils on my underwear, or a cute lacey thong on.
I'll just count my blessings.

Mommy of 3 part 2

Okay so here is the post about Clayton and Kami. These two are hilarious. So full of energy and basically up to any sort of game. And they just love eachother so much. Never have I seen a brother and sister that love to play with eachother as much as these 2. So here are a few snippets of what we've been up to.

We made Tie Dye Shirts. Clayton loves his so much. He told us he was going to wear it every day and when we said he'd need to wash it he replied in all seriousness. "No I don't, it's my shirt and I can do whatever I want" Well said clayton, hope mom agrees.
We went to Ivy creek and played around in the water, saw some turtles and fish, and hung from trees like little monkeys.
I let the 2 rugrats stay up late watching old Alvin and the chipmunks episodes and drinking milkshakes. They did the same thing the next night when nana came. We paid severely on Sunday. :-)
We played with waterballoons in the glorious virginia sun
Ate popsicles while we swung on swings.
Body portraits.
Played with the hose and then drew with chalk not on the sidewalk but their bodies.

I had such a blast in virginia. Number one thing I learned- being a mom is hard. But so rewarding. Every hug, I love you, or crying because you are leaving, makes all the chaos not so bad.

My week as a mommy part one.

For the last few days I've been playing mommy for my sisters kids while she went on a trip to china with her husband. It has been quite the adventure.
I've decided to break this into two parts. One part Lyssie, one part kami and clayton. First I'll start with lyssie. Lyssie is very attached to her mama and since I have become her surrogate mama she has treated me as such. Always calling my mama, crying when i leave, giving me cuddles, and so forth. I have loved it. Even when she is screaming in my ear cause she is so mad when she gives me a hug or a sweet little smile, it doesn't even matter. Here are 2 great stories about lyssie.
NUMBER ONE:
Alyssa has not been a fan of going to the bathroom with me. She holds her self to the last possible moment. It has caused for many stomach pains and tears. The other day me and my mother (who came to see the kids and help me out the last few days) were in marshalls shopping. Lyssie was running around saying mama looking for me and when she found me ran to me laughing, soon the laughter turned to whining and the next thing I knew something warm was running down my legs. So I pulled her off my hip and looked down to see pee all around me. Not a good thing. Because I had put her pull up in the church bag. So My mom, the life saver, cleaned up the mess. While I cleaned up lyssie. We bought her some new pants.
End of that story.
NUMBER TWO:
My mom gave Alyssa a bath and lyssie has a diaper rash so she'd put the cream on and my silly mom left it on the floor. When she went in to get alyssa this morning we found this
And here are just some pictures of lyssie. She is so beautiful and i just love her.
She put butt paste on her face and hair so it was pretty easy to style this way.

simple pleasures

The other day a friend asked me what my life's simple pleasures were and it really got me thinking about what I enjoy most in love.

~Markers that smell like fruit.
~Getting into my car when the sun has been shining on it and I'm wrapped in warmth.
~Getting an unexpected email or letter.
~Smiles from little babies.
~Scratch and sniff stickers.
~The smell of homemade buns.
~Waking up and realizing I still have time to sleep.
~Falling asleep on the heater during the winter.
~The way my feet feel when I let them be free and walk bare feet on the grass.
~Finding money in my winter coat that I forgot I'd put in there.
~When I turn on the radio and my favorite song is on.
~Finding a good parking spot.
~How quiet the library always is.
~The smell of fresh laundry.
~Reminiscing about old times.
~Smell of fresh cut grass
~Making lists and then checking the items off.
~Waking up to a fresh blanket of snow.
~Just sitting with my family.
~ Blogging

I think that's enough for now. I just love life and all it's simple pleasures.

My best friends wedding

On saturday My best friend Jennica Dittmann got married. Well i guess in real life she's Jennica Van Blerkom now. CRAZY. Anyway, she got married in Oakland California and can I just say I'm now in love with California? It was so much different then I expected it to be. There was lots of space and trees and it was very green. San francisco was way awesome. So glad I got a chance to go there and see the painted ladies and have a picnic at the park just like they do in full house and see the golden gate bridge. And of course jennica's wedding was beautiful. She was a stunning bride and brian and handsome groom. The pictures will say it all.

Fresh out of the temple.
The boys ohhing and awwing over jennica's completed ring.
Friends of the bride
Such good cardston friends. Sigh highschool.
Greatest wedding cake ever. 3 layers with 3 different cakes. GENIUS
fact or fiction: The first name to rub off the brides shoe will be the next bride. Only time will tell.
The painted ladies. As seen in the full house opening credits
the golden gate bridge with my besties.
