It happened to a friend of mine

I had this friend.

I only knew her for 4 months and we've lost touch since then.

But she's one of those people who impacted my life.

Helped turn me into the me I am now you know?

She put up a real tough girl act.

But once you got to know her she was the sweetest most caring girl.

I never thought something like this would happen to someone I knew.

Someone I had become close to.

Here's her story.

On a more happy chipper note.

Cutest thing happened at the pool the other day.

Carrie told me she was going thru the girls change room when she over heard this conversation.

Little boy: (mom ignoring him) Mom, mom. That girl. Mom That girl!

Mom: What? What is it?

Little boy: Mom that girl at the desk that helped us... She's really pretty.

That boy is officailly my favorite. Even though I don't remember what he looks like.

But he made my day.

Another happy note.

There was one situation I was hoping to avoid.

I didn't know how I'd handle it.

I thought it would just be awkward and that I'd want to just run away.

And while it wasn't 100% comfortable I did just fine.

and felt really good about how I handled the situation.

2 months ago that situation was my worst nightmare.

I hoped it would never come to pass.

So glad I grew up a little.

Because life happens. You can't control the actions of others, only your actions.
