A To Z: X...Y

I'm crossing X off the list of things to blog about.

There is nothing useful to blog about starting with X.

Anything starting with an X is a mineral, chemical, disease, or cure.

So I'm jumping to Y.

This morning I did Yoga. 

I was going to go last night to a class on campus but I just get lazy at night.

So I did P90X yoga. I forgot how great of a work out it is and how much I love YOGA. 

I used to be addicted to yoga and would do it around 3 times a week.

One summer I learned how to do acro yoga with some friends.

CHANGED MY LIFE

Next I wanted to talk about looking youthful.

Alright for some reason EVERYONE thinks I look younger then Madison. 

It's our favorite game at school to play. We meet new people tell them we are sisters then have them guess which one is older. And 9/10 times they pick madison.

One time I asked some guys to tell me why she looked older, what it was about her.

One guy didn't make a comment, the other one said don't be offended...(already you know this is gonna be good)

He said she just looks like she has much more natural beauty and looks a lot more confident in who she is and doesn't care what people think.

Which I'm fine with, Madison is an extremely beautiful girl and I think she looks just as beautiful with her make up on as she does with it off. The only thing that bothered me was that he didn't even follow up with something nice about me. He just chewed me up and spit me out. Then he wanted to be my facebook friend after. REJECTED.

(Seriously I'm not upset about it. I just think it's funny and slightly untactful?)

I thought dying my hair back to being brown would make a difference and people would think I was more mature, not trying to be fake and something I'm not, but nope still the same results.

Even when Madison isn't around for us to play the game, people still think I'm only 19 and they are probably being generous since we are in college they know I'm over 17.
Oh well in 30 years when people tell me I look younger I'll be the one gloating.

Whose the more mature older looking one here hmm?

A To Z: W

Well well well. W it is.

I can't believe my alphabet blog is almost done. 

I've really enjoyed doing it despite how hard it was sometimes.

Today I watched Water for Elephants.

I had heard negative reviews about it and really wasn't a fan of watching it.

But it was my room mates birthday so I couldn't crash it.

Surprisingly I really enjoyed it.

It did make me a little sad because there was a lot of animal cruelty.

But I imagine that was/is real life for a circus animal.

It also made me wish I had grown up in the 20's and 30's, just minus the depression. 

The girls were always in fun beautiful gowns, with curly hair and diamonds.

The men wore tailored suits and vests and suspenders. 

Most importantly they knew actual dances.

If I was a 20's girl I totally would've been a flapper

 Tell me this does not look like fun?

Hello, I was so meant to be born in the 20's and dance in long fancy gowns with handsome men.

Also just a random side note I've noticed about myself.

I often spell me instead of my, of instead of or, and who instead of how.

It seriously drives me crazy. I post my blog and then I view it and reread it (maybe I should start rereading it before hand) and I always find those simple mistakes

So I apologize when you read my blogs and you can't understand what I'm saying or I sound like a pirate when I say something like "when you read me blogs"

A To Z: Vrooom

I'm in a blogging funk.

I can't think of anything going on in my life that starts with a V.

Wait scratch that it just hit me.

I might be going on a vacation and vacating Rexburg soon after for the rest of the summer.

I might be going to CALIFORNIA.

Eric (our old exchange student) and my brother Mitch bought a house in California and are fixing it up. Eric is still up in Canada but wants to go down to help out and doesn't like to travel alone. 

Well since I haven't found a job yet, there is no reason why I can't go.

So I might just peace out for 2 weeks, go relax on the beach, hit up the backyard pool, eat a little bowl of heaven, play with my sweet niece Jadyn, maybe hit up Disneyland because it's the happiest place in the world, and just get away from the craziness of my life right now.

I think it's sounds absolutely wonderful.

Also I haven't found a job yet, so there is nothing keeping me here, (especially since the main reason I stayed was to date Abe and well that didn't work out as planned) So now I might be leaving the end of May to go back home and find a job in Cardston or Waterton and earn some money and hike mountains.

Yah I think I'm kind of fond of my new plan.

UGH. UNBELIEVABLE

Today it's been snowing/raining ALL DAY LONG.

I will never understand Rexburg weather. 

Saturday I was outside all day long getting sun burnt.

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, beautiful!

I went biking and running outside and was dying, but I loved it.

Then after Wednesday it all went down hill. It was really windy that day.

Then yesterday was umbrella and jacket weather.

Then today was parka and snow boots weather.

Okay so not quite that dramatic, the snow is already gone, but seriously,

How can it go from 85 on tuesday to 45 today? 

It just doesn't make any sense

But really I don't know why I'm so surprised, this is typical weather for Rexburg and Canada!

I should be used to this, but I don't know if I ever will get used to it.

I know I will certainly never like it.

A TO Z. Tick Tock

Timing.

Everything happens in due time.

Timing is everything.

One cannot control time.

I often wish I could press a fast forward or rewind button.

Fast forward so I could see my life in 5 years and know that I am happy and that I've gotten to places I want to be. It would make waiting for that time so much easier.

I'd like a rewind button so that I could go back in time and redo a few things.

But then again not.

I think if I would've chosen different courses what other things I would be missing out on.

I look back at the last 2 years of my life and think about all the people I wouldn't know and all the learning experiences I would've missed out on.

When I do that I'm thankful there isn't a rewind button to tempt me.

I know that with different choices there would be other people and other learning experiences but I could never rewind and record over the people I have in my life now or experiences that have shaped me into the person I am.

Everything happens at the right time.

We can wish for time to speed up but if it did would we be ready for it when it came?

Every experience I have now is preparing me for an unknown time in my life.

To speed it up would certainly lead to disaster or maybe more hardship.

But right now I'm slowly being prepared.

As much as I hate waiting and being patient, one day I know I'll be thankful.

A To Z. SUNSCREEN

I watched this video clip on facebook today and it kind of scared the crap out of me.

I'm not the biggest lover of sunscreen, because I love to be tan.

Everyone is more beautiful when they are tan right?

Well this clip may have convinced that being tan isn't all it's cracked up to be

My motto has always been "meh we all die from something and I figure Christ will come before I'm 50 and really won't have to worry about having cancer" (I know terrible motto but I felt okay not wearing sunscreen because of it so it did it's job)

Anyway, after watching this message and hearing about people being diagnosed when they are in their 20's and dying 5 years later freaked me out. 

That is way to young to die. I mean 50 is young to die at but at least you most likely got married had some kids and grandkids, got a job, travelled, held some sweet church callings and all that great stuff.

My odds of having a malignant melanoma mole I feel like have tripled. I've had major sun burns before I was 18. I have over 50 moles. And my family has a history of skin Cancer.

After watching this clip I checked out what malignant melanoma looked like and then inspected every mole. 

The end result is I'm sure I have skin cancer.

Okay maybe that's a little dramatic, but seriously I feel nervous and almost want to hid from the sun for the rest of my life.

I lived in virginia and become superfly's "girlfriend" He'd come in every day and announce to everyone that I was his gf. He'd then proceed to tell me how beautiful I was and how much he loved me. I miss him

Randi unclogged our shower and pulled out this beauty.

We made awesome forts and ate breakfast in them.

I came and visited you in Paris France just for kicks.

I went to Ecuador and fell in love with every baby but mostly these 2 boys.

We visited you your first week of college at BYU

We'd go bar hopping for Wings Wednesday deals

We spent the weekend in Waterton in our onsies making pizza pretzels and music videos.

We did a three person shoulder ride.

We padded all the teachers cars and wrote girls rule (sorry mom and dad, you can ground me later.) We also wrote PMS on Mr. Janisko's room because he taught Biology.

We graduated from high school

We made sugar cookies at Devins house then took pictures on his sidewalk

Claudia Buckethead became our new best friend because Jennica was always with Jorden.

We had a bathroom photo shoot.

We did our make up crazy and invented the Celine Dion dance.

We'd go around town and take pictures in random places

We went bowling before sadies

When we were in High school musical and proud of it.

We tried to sell these masterpieces on ebay. They only didn't sell because shipping was $20

We all went to California for Jennicas wedding

Madison gave wigs as a white elephant gift.

We danced in the bathroom weekly

I poured water on your head and you turned into this creature.

Chase did yoga with me in the mornings

We learned how to pole dance for Miranda's bridal shower.. Tee hee
