The good the bad and the Ugly

THE GOOD.
I had g's dairy for the first time this semester. Still delicious
My room mates are awesome.
I got into the classes I wanted, well for the most part.
I can still walk outside without a jacket.
I went to wal-mart and saw 5 people I hadn't seen since last semester. I love that.
G's dairy had a deal on their ice cream this week.
Woman's conference, CES fireside, and devotional all in 4 days. AMAZING.
Room mate dinner and game night with 904.
It's Wednesday, which means it's hump day!
I'm going to Utah this weekend. Mt. Timp you are mine!
There is a greater number of more attractive boys at BYUI this year.

THE BAD AND THE UGLY
( I couldn't decipher between what might just be bad and what might be ugly)
I lost $12 at G's. I hope I answered someone's prayers.
I have so much reading to do and outlines to write (so why am I blogging?)
BYUI has WAY too much construction going on at one time. Big detours to get to class.
Come winter I'm really going to hate the walk from the Clark to the Ridge. SO LONG.
The internet at the ridge might be worse then Tuscany and I didn't think that was possible.
I went to sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on my yogurt and the whole lid popped off. I mean I love cinnamon but that was a little too extreme.
While there is more attractive boys I have found a large part of them to be freshman.
I don't have a picture to upload with this and I need to end now and do homework.

Miscommunication

For some reason my cell phone number is being passed along on the reserve.

I don't quite understand how it happened but it did.

I had left my cell phone at home one day and upon returning from work I looked at it and I had a few missed calls and 7 text messages.

I was like AWESOME, this is what I like to come home to.

Only to find out the phone calls weren't really for me and that 4 of the texts were from people I didn't know.

I called the number back and he told me that he had no idea who called me from that number.

About 30 mins later I get a text from that number that says

"Hey mom, I dropped my cig behind the front car seat and I need you to put it out."

So I replied "I think you have the wrong number. I'm no mother"

and he says one word "HUNYA"

(only people from southern alberta might appreciate that saying)

As for the person who texted me I had to tell her about 10 times that she had the wrong number

She'd text me back things like "oh Debbie I like the way you text" "you're so funny"

"Come on it's me Jessica" "This really isn't Debbie?" and hour later... "Seriously, this really isn't Debbie?"

She finally got the picture.

Then like a week later I get a text that says (this is who it was typed as well)

HeY KriSten. CaN U gEt My SuNgLaSsEs FrOm ThE TeEpEe??? *MoLlY wHiTe HoRsE*

My response " Sorry I can't get them for you, because you have the wrong number"

"SoRrY! mY cUzIn GaVe Me ThIs NuMbEr I tHoUgHt U wErE mY aUnTiE!!!"

Is there a setting on your phone that capitalizes every other letter? Because even just typing that out was annoying. I can't imagine doing it on your phone.

Anyway, I hope I don't get any more mystery texters. They are using up valuable text messages on my texting 2500 bundle. :)

Sam.

This is not the long post that I promised was coming.

Sometimes funny things happen and you have to blog about them before other things.

There is a group of 4-5 handicapped people that come to the pool.

There is one named Sam and he is quite the character.

He walks around town his is discman in singing along.

He has a calgary flames ball cap and watch and keychain. He's a true fan.

Last week when he came into the pool I could hear him say this to one of his friends

"I dare you to run out naked in front of the lifeguards"

Thank goodness he didn't

Last night he came again.

As he was leaving he was just talking up a storm about random things in his life.

Maybe I wasn't the best person but I was only half listening to him while I did cash out.

I think he picked up on that so he wanted to tell me a real good story.

This is the conversation.

Sam: Do you know who Carrie Underwood is?

Me: Yah she's a country singer

Sam: Yah did you know I saved her life last week? A shark was attacking her.

Me: Really you did?! She was lucky to have you around huh?

Sam: Yah I saved her life, I took out my pocketknife and went POW right into the shark.

It was classic. I love handicapped people. They come up with the funniest things.

My mom watches this disabled lady and I think subconsciously she has a weird fascination with food. Because she doesn't call natural disasters by their actual names.

When the tsunami hit Japan she said,

" Debbie did you here about the salami that hit Japan?"

And when there were all the tornados down east her comment was,

"Did you know that in the east they got hit by a bunch of tomatoes?"

Never a dull moment I tell ya.

Pool Happenings

Working at the pool has some benefits.
Everyonce in awhile you have a funny or exciting experience.
Like the other day a lifeguard brought a little boy into the back to give him some first aid.
I saw some blood on his back and assumed he'd scratched his back on the wall.
But no, he'd done a front flip into the BABY pool and hit his head.
Cracked it right open.
That created some chaos.

Another day 2 boys had been fighting in the showers.
Boy A came out and told us that Boy B had been swearing at him and threatened to beat him up.
The mom of Boy B was upset and was trying to drag him out of there.
But Boy B was upset himself and was struggling and telling her he didn't do anything.
So the mom's trying to pull him out, telling him not to cause a scene
But her efforts are futile as Boy B screams "Mom I HATE that kid!"
That didn't help his case I'm sure.

Again 2 boys had been quarreling.
One was caucasian and the other Native American.
The Native was upset cause the Caucasian had called him a "Chocolate chip"
The caucasion responded by saying "But he called me a white Chocolate chip!"

I know these are pointless dumb stories. And I don't think people really like to read long blog posts. But it's really the only good things I have to blog about.

Last story was the most dramatic
I thought one of us was going to get beat up.
A girl swore at one of the lifeguards so they kicked her out of the pool.
Her mom came in angry demanding they get a refund.
The lifeguards said they couldn't because she had called one of them a vulgar name.
The mom said that we had been rude to her first. (Lie)
We still withheld.
She said "Just wait until their father comes"
Dun Dun Dun.
He came in maybe a little drunk and really upset.
He pleaded the same as his mom and we told him it was nothing raciest just our policy.
He still wasn't happy.
In the end they won cause our boss wasn't available to come down and help us and
he didn't want any casualties.

That's it. Other then those exciting times my days at the pool consist of
Solitaire, reading books, facebook stalking, and pintrest.

AWESOME

First Day

Today was my first day of work.
Usually on the first day you try to impress your boss by being early and looking real presentable.
I tried that. Epic fail.
I was suppose to start work at 8. I got up at 7:55...
So this is now the first impression.
"Hi my name is Chanel Beazer and my abilities consist of sleeping through 2 alarm clocks (I SWEAR they never went off) and getting ready in 8 mins."
Impressed?
Thought so.
I felt and looked AWE-SOME...ish.
{Not even joking about the 8 minute thing either. My dad woke me up at 7:55 (thanks dad but next time maybe you could give me more then 5 mins) and I pulled into work at 8:06.}

In other news in my life. The no internet/computer challenge is kind of a hit and miss it. I've definitely reduced my time sitting on facebook or playing online games, but I still use it more then I should.
But give me some kudos. I made a summer book list and I've almost got one of the books crossed off.
I helped my dad outside for 2 hours yesterday.
We burned what felt and looked like 500 pounds of branches.
Needless to say it was a great time. I really enjoy some manual labor. Seriously
And spending time with my dad isn't a terrible thing either. Seriously.

Also, a bird flew into our house yesterday?
It was pretty hilarious watching my mom trying to talk the bird into going back outside.
I tried getting it on camera but she stopped to soon after the thought came to my mind.
But it was fantastic.
It was like when you talk to a baby in that high pitched voice and you expect them to understand or respond to the things you say.
My mother was waving her arms in the arm saying "Come on little birdie, come this way. Go through that door. Come on, just fly down. You can do it."
Anyway we all left the room and did our own thing.
A few hours later he wasn't in the room and we haven't seen him or an evidence of his existence so it looks like he understood my mom and flew down and out the door.
Lastley, I got a 300 hand in rook last night. It felt so good.

Jbiebs-you complete me

Okay disclaimer: While I always enjoyed Justin Bieber I never full out loved him. The first time I heard him sing his song one time and saw the name I was a little perplexed as to if it was a boy named Justin singing it or a girl with the name Justin but pronounced Justine singing. I was honestly confused! Any way point being I liked him but I wasn't on the complete Justin Bieber band wagon. That is until I saw the Justin Bieber movie. I never knew it would be so good. I thought I wasn't going to like and mock everyone that loves it like I do everyone that loves twilight (lets be real people. Twilight is not a good movie and never will be.) But then the movie started with funny youtube videos and my favorite bieber song instantly I was hooked! The kid is honestly amazing and lest we forget adorable. I could go on a lot more about Justin Bieber but I'm going to stop here since I know themajority of you reading probably agree with me and already know everything great about JBiebs.
Here's a picture for you to drool over. Have you ever seen such beautiful brown eyes?

Dance like there's no tomorrow.

The last few days my sister and I have been having mad dance parties in the bathroom while we get ready. The other day we danced for about 30-45 min while we got ready for a date. We tried to take some pictures of us dancing, but they aren't the most flattering. And we took a video. I would thrill you all with it, but my blog doesn't like to upload videos. To bad for you. :)

The simple things.

Every sunday I think I'm going to try and do a simple things post. Since I love the idea of project 365 but can't manage to take a picture everyday, I'm hoping I can manage to take a picture once a week of something simple. I don't think myself and perhaps any of us really take the time to enjoy the simple things in life amidst all the hullabaloo that goes on. This weeks simple thing was something that made me laugh. Samantha wanted to make cinnamon rolls but it got to late so the wrapped the dough up in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. 20 mins or so later she went to get something out of the fridge and this is what she found
We laughed for quite awhile. It made my day so much better.

Besties

I could blog about my best friends all day every day. I love my friends and truly believe I've had some of the best in the world!
I have had many best friends throughout my life.

My first best friend was lacey carlson. She lived across the street and our moms were best friends so it was only fitting that we would be. I remember when me lacey and jessica frenchwere in the same kindergarten class my mom would pick them up. I liked lacey so much that one time I was a little irrational and was upset that my mom was going to pick up jessica first. I bawled cause I wanted her to get lacey first.
From there on I had other best friends, usually whoever was in my class. Lacey was always a constant some others were Kelsie Stephan, Kylie Gilchrist, Whitney Bay, Carrie Zemp, Miranada Bevans and Kylee Wolsey.

But as a I got into Jr. High the friends I made in seventh grade would be the friends that lasted throughout the rest of my school years in Cardston. Jennica Dittmann, Karli Low, and Kimber Leavitt.
I love these girls with all my heart. No girls have every made me laugh so hard, be so comfortable with who i am, trust completely, or encouraged me more. They have been so influential in my life. I don't think I'd be at BYU-I if it wasn't for them. I had never planned on going to college. I didn't feel smart enough and I didn't know what I would want to do with further education. But they encouraged me and told me I needed to go. Even though I wasn't half as smart as them they never made me feel like I wasn't.
We had so many nights of sitting around a table and eating a whole bag worth of toast and jam. Then get up in the morning and do it again. We'd lay on Jennica's bed with the room completely dark, with love songs playing on the stereo and sit and talk for hours about boys and only boys.
We were such good friends that we could sit around the table all of us talking at once but not having to repeat anything just said because we could some how magically all hear and understand what one another said and agree with it. Yup these girls completed my highschool years. I've missed them as we've gone onto our own adventures without each other. But its been a great chance to make new friends.
One of my old best friends, that has become one of my best friends out of high school is miranda bevans. This girl is there for my 100%. She'd always come into extra foods and talk to me for hours about Tim, and drew on their missions, and things going on with other people in high school. This last summer we had a lot of fun playing cards together and going to the movies. I always look forward to seeing Miranada when I get home because she is always happy and laughing and makes me feel so good when I'm with her. When we were young Miranada and I would watch Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen shows all day long. And one time we had strawberry ice cream as a midnight snack, for breakfast, lunch, and then dinner. We didn't eat anything else and that night I threw it all up and couldn't eat strawberry ice cream for years without feeling sick.

Okay I'm sure you are getting tired of hearing about my best friends but I just have 2 more to mention so bare with me!
Samantha Anderson- She is my room mate right now. And while she maybe isn't someone I tell all my secrets to I have a blast with her. She is always game for doing anything I want. Like watching movies, painting nails, going to yoga/abs, collaging. Anything. She'd probably be game with sky diving if I asked her to. Also I love watching movies with her because when samantha finds something funny she is not afraid to LAUGH OUT LOUD or she may scream if something scares or bothers her. It makes watching movies so much more enjoyable.

Now I saved the best for last. Madison Beazer. While she is my sister she is one of my bestfriends. I've had so much fun having her as my room mate this semester. As sisters it's natural we get on each others nerves every once in awhile. But she makes me so happy. I love bringing her with me places because I know she thinks I'm funny (for some reason) and will laugh at the stupid things I say or do. She is always there for me to talk to after a date, or a stupid day at school and I'm sure I don't return the favor half as well as she does. But I appreciate her and am so glad we are on this journey together.

not a christmas post... it'll come

The other day I was making a collage and I had cut out a letter from a page. And when I turned the page it lined up perfectly with this model's mouth and the models teeth in the page before. So it ended up looking like this. (the picture doesn't quite do it justice but...)

I laugh every time I see it.
What else makes me laugh is this girl. She didn't want to pack as you can tell.

Christmas spirit hits Apt 333

The other night my room mates and I really got into the christmas spirit. We watched 3 claymation movies. the year without a santa, the miser brothers, and st. nicholas or something like that. It was rather enjoyable. While watching them we made paper chains and snowflakes to hang in our apt. We ended the night with a sleepover watching The christmas movie, Meet me in St. Louis.

Reason to fist pump

This morning I heard the glorious words I'd been waiting to hear since october. My track appeal finally went through and I am pleased to announce that I am now on the Fall/Winter track. It took a lot of patience, determination, faith, and a lot of deep breathing exercises but I finally got what I wanted. I will now be home for the springs and the summers. The best time ever to be in canada

A.H. you never cease to amaze me.

I never knew audrey Hepburn had inspirational things to say. I just saw her as a pretty face whose movies people loved and whose picture girls, and even guys hang in their APTs.

These are a few I love.

“Your heart just breaks, that's all. But you can't judge, or point fingers. You just have to be lucky enough to find someone who appreciates you.”

{What girl hasn't had their heart broken? and how many have moved past it and were lucky enough to find someone that appreciates them? I'm still waiting for that.}

“People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.”

{This just sums up life. People make mistakes. No one is exempt from that rule. But just because they make a mistake doesn't mean we should throw them away.}

“Pick the day. Enjoy it - to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.”

{How many times have i chosen to have a bad day, maybe because of things that have happened in the past that i just want to wallow in self pity. But I need to enjoy everyday- to the hilt. And make the most of what life has given me. AND STOP WORRYING ABOUT THE FUTURE. It'll come one day at a time. I can't make it come faster and I should embrace everyday and not think about tomorrow.}

“I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.”

{I love to laugh. Any person that can make me genuinely laugh I instantly like. I can't stand people who don't laugh at all. It doesn't have to be over things I say or do but I just like someone who I can be with and laugh. My day always feels better when I talk to someone who laughs and makes me laugh. All my cares melt away.}

proud moment

We got the cleanest apartment award. YAAAA... I always wondered if they really gave out treats like they said they did because I've never won before and I've always thought we did a good job cleaning. Well the joyous day finally came. We got a nifty little certificate and some cheesecake cookies.

apples to apples

On campus they have a fairly big apple orchard and they opened it up to the students and you could pick your own apples for 50 cents a pound. I got about 5 pounds of apples (which was aboult 30 smallish apples). I almost loved picking them more then actually eating them. But my roomate at I have been on an apple making craze and plan to continue. We made apple pancakes with an apple based syrup and apple cake. We have plans of making apple crisp and apple muffins.

cereal

Cereal. The best 2 syllable word in the english language. Yesterday I found someone who shares this same love for cereal. We talked for a good 30 mins on our favorite cereals and why and relieved childhood memories revolving around cereal. This in turn led us to buying three bags of cereal and having a bowl of each that night. While I was extremely happy in the moment my body didn't think so later that night when it felt so full and was on such a sugar rush it couldn't fall asleep. Oh well it was a small price to pay for such a large amount of happiness

weddings.

So in the next few weeks I have 11 weddings to go to. ELEVEN! People are getting married like it's going out of style. So I'm dedicating this post to my dear friend Karli Low. who is just following the crowd and getting married. But at least she is being unique and getting married on a thursday. Way to set yourself apart.

Well I love karli low. I think I've even written a post about her before. That's how much I love her. I've been friends with her since about the 5th grade when I didn't even really know her but I think she took pity on me when she got back from mexico and invited me to her house for her getting home party. I was one of three friends she got to invite. How honored did I feel? So honored. She probably regrets that now cause she is stuck being my Best friend forever. Tough luck.
Karli and I have lots of great memories together. most that no one else would understand or even think they are funny. But because I know she reads my blog I will retell some of them so at least she can laugh as she remembers.

♥ Cadbury mini eggs
♥ licking eachother's eyeballs
♥ Swinging on her hammock
♥ Raiding her food storage
♥ Salt and vinegar chips
♥ TEXAS
♥ Exercising downstairs in short shorts and thinking it was devin and tim at the bottom of the hill and running to greet them, only to find out it wasn't.
♥ The way Logan Orr is the founder of our club name.
♥ Having about 3 different ways of laughing.
♥ Claudia buckethead
♥ Hiking bertha and doing acro yoga at the lake
♥ Going Mudding on shrimp road
♥ Going to her farm in the expo and watching scary movies while eating DQ ice cream and cereal
♥ The rainy day the boys let us put on their make up.
♥ Moonlight madness
♥ The snow day at Jennica's where we became super models from all across the globe. "I like to make a pizza"
♥ Hiking up chief mountain. Eating lunch on a flat rock, mocking daddy beaz and his gummy sack, and after many failed attempts hitting a golf ball from the top

Well I think that's enough for now. Karli if you are reading this and want to add any, feel free and I'll update the blog post. I love you and can't wait for your special day. I'm so glad I'm going to be able to celebrate with you and I wish you and garrett all the happiness in the world.
